Oral Hydration: Another Swollen Gums Remedy

Saliva is the mouth's natural defense against bacteria, anaerobic bacteria creates their niche in low- oxygen environments. Bacteria is primarily the culprit of gum infection that causes swollen gums and gum disease, they are constantly present in the oral cavity for they are being formed from food particles left in the mouth. To fight these bacteria there should be a high level of saliva production. To achieve a high level of saliva production, oral hydration should be practiced, by drinking lots of liquids such as water and combined with proper oral practice, thus bacteria causing infection can be controlled, preventing bleeding and swollen gums from taking its toll.
